There's been a lot of buzz lately about the poco phone f1 it is doing really well it offers a lot for that price you've got a snapdragon 845 sensor a beautiful display really comfortable elegant body but we really don't know about the cameras but for me what makes or breaks a good phone is a very good camera whether I'll spend $300 for the poco phone on something like a pixel or a note 9 has a lot to do, let's take a look at what sort of camera quality we're getting out of a $300 smartphone let's quickly go over the basics here on the front we have a 20 megapixel selfie camera which offers things like portrait mode and HDR but on the back you have what poco phone is calling a dual smart camera system let's get to the smart part in a bit because it's really not a smart you have a 12 megapixel color sensor with an aperture of f11 here'd with a 5 megapixel depth sensor neither of these has optical image stabilization so we'll have to see how video quality performs later on but with these two cameras you'll get artificial depth of field effects as well as other AI features that we'll take a closer look at in a bit so let's start with the very basic we are taking a photo without the AI without any other enhancements and it looks alright well let's see how good the AI holds up here now if you'll remember the AI camera is a feature that Huawei introduced with its flagship phones and then LG and Samsung also followed suit so now that poco phone is throwing its own offering into the mix it's interesting to see if a $300 AAA is better at all than those high-end flagships.
